OxyShare is a great site. I especially love the Top. Plenty of wonderful things. I've also found there some really useful progs which I never thought I needed. So OxyShare is good for uploading/downloading and for some entertainment, too.

pros upload status bar # of downloads counter and actually got a link on the first file I tried that earned them the 2 stars
upload was at 29kb my fastest ups are at 40kb so decent but not great
download snailed out at 10kb.

Great, Oxy makes it possible to use FTP to upload, haven't seen that service else where,
also the speed with Oxy is less than another host we won't be naming, Oxy doesn't use 1 hour nags untill next download. So in that way, Oxy is actually faster.
Just one small minus: it's getting an art to locate the downloadlink on the page, in the past I had many customers asking where to llok for the activation dwl link. It does change from place all the time.

oxyshare catalog great service. easy to find files rather then searching them on warez forums. pros no download ticket. no waiting after one download. multiple downloads allowed. good speed and never down uptill now for any kind of technical maintaince etc. no 1 free hosting site according to me as compared to rapidshare, megaupload, depositfiles, filefactory etc who does not have the pros mentioned above.

positive:
good ftp upload service
30 sec nag is not as bad as others (sometimes up to 180 sec)
700 Mb filesize limt is great

stinks something chronic - is it a ghost or gone belly up or something?
Download links hidden beneath pages full of crap advertising text - clicking on the link cycles you through a 60 second wait and then dumps you right back where you started in a frustrationg endless loop.
help and forum pages either have broken or circular links
using download managers you end up with the html pages not the files they reference
Completely useless and frustrating, maybe good for uploading, but if my experiences are anything to go by you forget about anyone ever being able to access the files.
perhaps their error trapping sucks and defaults to main pages instead of telling the true problem or that the file is gone.

I've had an account for over a year. At first everything worked fine. Then all of a sudden it seems like nothing works. You can still upload but you cant download. So its pretty useless.The download links go keep looping you back to where you started.

One year ago Oxyshare seemed like it had great promise but soon began its rapid decline to its present state of utter uselessness. They took the blog down as it rapidly filled with complaints from unhappy users who never received any kind of replies from the administration.
I was awarded a premium account last year and now even with premium user status it is impossible to download a damn file. I really don't understand why the webpages for this host are even still online since the site has been nonfunctional for nearly a year now.
At least I didn't pay anything for my premium account. I really feel sorry for those poor unfortunate souls who actually paid money to buy their useless accounts.
Oxyshare not only turned out to be a horrible webhost, if they were located here in the USA they would be criminally liable.

I've seen many hosting sites, but this one, is the worst fake piece of trash I've ever seen. The unlucky user who has to visit this junk site will drown in ads and tracking cookies in a second, the most fun part is, that the second download link won't appear. everything works fine, even a countdown is visible, but as soon as it finishes you get to see this: "Here is your download link:" and then nothing. a big fake nothing. its not a technical issue, its a greedy tricky way to make desperate users click on ad links placed exactly below "Here is your download link:"
