My opinion of ForeverSafe
The concept of ForeverSafe is excellent. I'm still in the early stages of using the program, but here here are my reactions thus far.
1. It is not very sophisticated. For example, when sending zipped files by RAR, it is impossible (for me) to open the rar file. I sent them by WINZIP, and I could open the Zip file. It appears not to recognize RAR files.
2 I uploaded some Word 2000 files. I opened one of the files, and I made a minor change to the copy. I then saved the file and reopened it again. My change was not recognized on the copy in ForeverSafe. I tried the activity twice with no success. To me, it's a lot of unnecessary work and time wasted if I have to save the changed Word document to my hard disk and then re-upload it onto the ForeverSafe site.
3. Maybe it's my computer or DSL line, but I find the transfers somewhat slow.
However, as I said, the concept is great. I may even pay for the unlimited upload service. Regardless of the programs shortcomings, it is a heckofa lot better having valuable files available than losing them when your hard disk crashes.

fast and great
Very interesting offer. I find downloads to be very fast. I dont understand French, yet the offer is very simple to us. I believe this is a rising star. Time will tell.

"Fast" is a relative term
Two of you have praised the speed of ForeverSafe by saying it is fast.
"Fast" is a relative term. I am at the low end of the DSL chain, not by my choice but by my provider's choice, and ForeverSafe is "ForeverSlow" when you are operating the the first rung of DSL.
Maybe I've lived in France too long, because I feel the program has a long ways to go before it has the sophistication that a professional program has.
Also, when after I had paid but couldn't access, it took five days for the problem to be resolved. I don't call that fast either.
I'll be back to modify my words if things improve for me.

A great disappointment!
I signed up a few months ago for the paid service and it was a pretty good service (although I could never upload at my full line speed). But in the past few months it has got worse and worse. The site is often extremely slow and nearly all of the zip files I uploaded cannot be either unzipped or downloaded.
It's a real disappointment because it looked as though it was going to be great. Let's hope they sort it out.

Incredible. Unlimited storage and lifetime conservation.
Amazing concept, the annual plan ($59) includes unlimited storage, unlimited sharing, a photo album system, an rapid-share-like "express link" system and you can stream your music from your safe, GREAT. My FOREVERSAFE vault is now 6 TB big ;-)

A real rip-off
This site is one massive rip-off. At first things seemed OK but after I had about 200 GB of data, I realised that most of it had been corrupted during the upload! Zip files wouldn't unzip and most other files were not available.
Take my advice: keep well clear of Foreversafe. The people who run it are totally INCOMPETENT. I'm now with Rapidshare and Filefactory - both excellent services.
