This is an awesome host. This guy owns his own servers, he doesnt lease them such as other hosting company's.
His site has doubled in size within the past week, yet still remains to be fast and speedy. I was also told that he added 3 more servers to this site.
Its going to be a great success, this is the place to host your files. No other website even comes close. He gives 100GB of bandwidth, and that is amazing.

I received my activation mail many hours after signing up. And my yahoo sent it to spam folder. That was bad. But otherwise, the uploading is good. Allows upto 100mb file, total space 2 gb and bandwidth 100gb all for free is incredible. Also it can stay for 90 days without loggin in. I like it.

Its annoying!!
I didnt receive an activation email when i registered. I couldn't log in, because it told me my account hadnt been activated. I clicked on the "Didn`t receive an activation email?" link several times, and still, nothing.
I tried to register with a different username and different email address provider (original was hotmail) to see if this made a difference, which it did not, even after clicking on the same link several times. I still was not able to activate my account. (I checked all junk and trash folders and it was not in there either).
Having run out of ideas, I went on to the support forums, to see that other people had the same problem. However, it seems they were all able to post a message saying they could not activate their account. In doing this their account was activated by the moderator. However, when I tried to do the same as so many others had, I couldnt, because there was nowhere for me to add a reply, no link for me to post my own message within the thread or start a new one. This is probably because it said at the top that I was Not Logged In, but it wouldnt allow me to do so because of the lack of the activation email.
And I couldnt receive help or advice from anywhere other than these forums, because there was no contact available for technical difficulties of the site. so I am stuck. I cannot register. I cannot activate my account and therefore I cannot use the features of the site, which is very disappointing to me as I have been looking for a site like this for a very long time.
If it is within your powers to do so, I would very much like to be given a contact for snapdrive.net so that I can ask about the problem and get my account activated, and use the features of the site. I would then be more than willing to withdraw this rubbish rating and replace it with a good one, once I am actually able to use the site.
Any help would be very very much appreciated.

I have recently had to backup some of my data from my computer but had no spare harddrive or data disks. I then had to find a good reliable host to host files all summing up to 1.67GB. I searched hard looking for a good host without all the hastle and little catches. I found Snapdrive and they are so reliable. I just had to do a 2 second registration and I was uploading my files to their server faster than you could say boo. I have now backed up all my data and formatted my harddrive. And I have not lost any important data.
Really a good host and other people should try it.

Site keeps going down
I am streaming music on My Space and my web site and it seems that every 5 minutes I get this error.Unable to access user folder for djfly2006. This could be due to the userfiles folder not being CHMODed correctly.
What that means I have no idea. Also pages load slowly and uploads are slowWas thinking of upgrading but not so sure with these problems. I like the way Snap Drive hosts files however. We're able to use direct links so all I have to do is copy the URL and load it in my MP3 players and I have cool background music on My Space and my web site. I hope this does not change. If you could get these small bugs workd out this would be a really cool place to store files.

Excellent service.
After searching long and hard after being disappointed by many other file hosting services, I stumbled upon SnapDrive. Their server speeds are very fast, and the service overall is very reliable. It must be noted though, at the time of this posting, they're under-going alot of upgrades and service improvements. So there is the occassional down-time periods, but that can't be helped and it's for the better.

Site is down too often & Extremely slow Uploads
SnapDrive overall is a great site. However it seems to be down when you most need it. Usually taking up to an hour to be back up. In the end you guys always come through but it would be nice not to have to go through all the pain. Uploading files is definately an area that needs improvement. I know that uploading files at home with cable modem is sorta slow but when I do it from work with a T3 server, what's your excuse then?
Regarding the forum section, I take my hat off to Snap (The Administrator). My man's game is tight in the forum section. He's quick to respond to everyone withing a certain time and if he can't fix it right away, he'll let us know that some additional time might be needed. Either way he's very good at keeping everyone posted as to where SnapDrive stands with all issues.
Try keeping the site up as best you can and i'm sure we might overlook the long upload times. Thank you for your service SnapDrive.

I like this site, I really do. But some things bother me. It's very slow at times and I have not been able to access my file for a couple days due to something not being "CHMODed". I am grateful for all SnapDrive offers. It is a great site. It just has a few trouble some kinks.

I think this site is rather rubbish, YES it has its gud points but bad points out-weigh them.
1) The uploads take about 1-2 hours for like, 5-7 songs
2) The site is VERY slow to get onto uploads and ur uploaded files,
3) If using urls they are nearly all the time unavailabe
4) It freezes an awful alot.
the good points are
1) its free
2) there's a large storage space.
It is up to you if you decided but my time usin it was wasted.
At first it seemed ok an was a bit faster but then songs stopped workin, the site slown RIGHT down an i could hardly get on 2 the songs because of an error message.

Files went missing (even though it stated my file was in my folder)
Tried uploading a 80mb mix for ten times (yes countdown of 10 attempts)...
Slow download time, friends and associates feedback to me that it takes ages to download and they get frequent breaks when listening to my mix...
Impressive 100GB bandwidth, but it's not helping with the high failure rate of uploading for my account. Will I ever hit the 10GB mark? I think not.
Take some time to scout around for others, I'm sure there are better solutions.

I know it's free, but at least it show work. which has not been the case for the past week.
you loose valuable time waiting for your files to upload, only to be told at the end of the process that for "this" or "that" reason, the server was unable to put the file in the proper directory.

inconsistent downloads
It seems people can only rarely download my files. I can only complete about 1 out of every 10 downloads, and the nature of which downloads fail seem totally random. One day one will work and the rest won't. The next day a different file will work and the rest won't. I'm glad it's free, but I have not been able to have any use from it yet.

How bloody obvious are the daggy positive comments about SnapDrive - most seem to be written by a moronic PR department who thinks the Doris Day vacuousness won't stick out like dog's balls?
It seems some SnapDrive functionary is fighting a losing battle to balance every negative comment with the same inconsequential guff full of positive pr soundbites.

Limping website, No user support at all
I tried Snapdrive due to its large free capacity (2 GB). Problems with uploading:
(1) uploading to a specific folder does not function (several users complain about this);
(2) "skip existing files" doesn't work either - the files are uplaoded anyway;
(3) unsupported file types (like html) are rejected only *after* they are "uploaded" - you wait for the whole file to uplaod and only then get the rejection message.
Things are even worse when support is needed. One of my folders became inaccessible (probably because I gave it an illegal name, but a proper interface should have prevented me from doing so), with 200 files in it which took me hourse to upload.
I posted a message with the technical support team, and... that's where our story ends. I got an automatic confirmation - it was a few days ago - and haven't heard from them ever since. I then found other users were waiting for weeks on end.
I short, use this website if you are sure nothing will ever go wrong. If anything goes wrong, don't expect any help - it's you and your (lost) files.

An excellent file hosting site. The website used to be a bit confusing but it's much cleaner now. Also, what many people may not realize is that unlike most free hosts, they allow hotlinking. You can upload a file, put a direct link to it from your own website and when users click that link the download starts immediately. You can also use this for showing images. No download screens, popups or waiting lines. This coupled with the large storage capacity (2 Gb) makes snapdrive my favorite file hosting service.
The service is also quite reliable, as I've had some files stored on the server for over 7 months, and they are still accessible. I'm a registered user so public uploaders may not get all the features, but the registration is quick and free so it shouldn't be a problem.

The site is down frequently, upload speeds are pretty good, but download speeds suck. Forget getting any kind of tech support at all, posts on their forums go unanswered. I had a paid account, and so far I think its been 12 or 13 days since I was able to access my files. I got fed up and filed a dispute with paypal, so they refunded my monthly fee, but I still have no access to my files, which I had over 200 stored on there.
