Feature Rich Free Application
This site combines some of the best features of alot of the file hosting sites on the web like flickr and photo-bucket plus 5 gigabytes of free storage and group file sharing. Since I've been using it, numerous features have been added also, and it seems like these cats are putting new features into every week. Its interesting to watch the product evolve.I could easily see people using this for interoffice communications and for school group projects.
It's also a nice alternative to a usb flash drive, as files are accessed quickly after log in and are accessible everywhere.

Great Site.
I have been using the site to host my MySpace photos. I also uploaded all my digital photographs since they give 5GB of storage space for free. I think the site is great, I also stored my mp3 files. They have a group collaboration tools which comes in handy for my classes. ALso, not a lot of ads which is nice. Over all I give the site an A.

My favorite things.
My friend invited me to this site. We used it to do a school project which was nice because we have very different schedules and it’s not easy to get together. The site was great! One of my favorite things was that there was barely any ads which for me is nice, no distractions. Oh and the photo album feature was cool, I used it and posted it to my MySpace profile. I also uploaded my important files (pics, music, research papers) its nice to know all my files are all in one place as well as secure incase my computer crashes (again) or for when I am home for break and need them! .

Finally a site for even a novice.
A friend recommended this site to me when she heard my dilemma of sharing pictures with my family located all up and down the east coast. Most of my "older" relatives really need that user-friendly site - one that is not bogged down or overloaded by unneccesary links, spam or the like you typically find on free sites like these. Large uploads
This is to Luckyhell. I just finished uploading a 250 mb file. It took a little while but it worked fine. We work hard at trying to address problems users may have. It would have been great if you had sent in a support ticket with the list of errors. There are so many variables when someone trys to upload a file that large. Thanks

Good enough for big files
This free file hosting is perfect for big files.
I use it to upload files around 350 mb. It takes 2 hours till it's done. Downloading a 350 mb file, takes 30 minutes.
The uploading goes very well. Although at times when mydatabus.com is down, it still uploads. You should not close the upload window, just keep it open. That mydatabus.com is having some troubles, it will not interrupt your download.
I am not sure if they are honest about the 5 GB free space that you get. I've so far uploaded 5 files (all 350mb). That means, total of 1750mb. Yet, mydatabus.com tells me that I used 68.19% of 5GB space.
So yeah.
I would recommend people to use mydatabus.com instead of cutting the file into smaller pieces and uploading it to rapidshare or something.

You can upload 500 Megs at a time, I mean I've already uploaded 2 gigs, and you can use it for e-bay and myspace and it's free, amazing how they can afford to give you all that free space.

I've tried a few sites now and I have to say that this is by far the best to use. I'm not really good with computers but this is really easy to use and seems to let me do whatever I want. I use if for school projects and it's great. My only complaint is that it has ads, but it's free so...whatever. Overall, I highly recommend it.

decent online storage:upload66.com
I did the homework. I checked all of the online reviews and I read their comments. Great. Turns out whomever wrote those reviews thinks everyone is a darn computer geek. All I wanted was a location to place some (.pdf) files so I could share them with others. My site, geocities, won't allow large uploads/downloads w/o paying for a premium page. I saw a great review for omnidrive, so I tried it. They give you large icons and very little practical help. I don't want to read an entire forum or support section just to upload or download a few files. It was just too hard to deal with. But,if I'm sitting at the computer for a 1/2 hour trying to figure out how to use a website(omnidrive), its not for me. Upload66.com even gives you the code to allow you to insert their cute box on your webpage. You can designate which files are public and which files are private. As I have a genealogy website, I want everything to be public. Anyway, you can't always go by fancy reviews. I usually have more confidence in private users anyway. By the way, I'm using a fancy new Dell tower w/ high speed access so my problem with omnidrive was not my access speed. I have the feeling that simple interface is an issue with some of the other online storage sites too.

Big problems uploading files larger than 20 mb.Connection always timeouted,I've never closed my upload window,files never showed up.Unfortunately there is no some kind of uploader or ftp access.Yet to see how will go in future.

I've tried a lot of the other services on the top 20 here, hoping that there might be something that's not scammy. This site actually suprised me. For the most part is looks clean and is easy to use. Great site--now integrates with Facebook
I've been a user of this site for over a year now, but recently they added a facebook.com integration feature that allows you to sync photo albums and shared files with friends on Facebook who are also mydatabus users. And I love the customization options on their "Group" feature--it gives you complete control over member-file interaction. A+.

I spent 5 minutes setting my account up, only to see a message once I logged in saying "uploads are temp. disabled".. also it says 5 gigs free, but the max file size is 250 mb per file.

Not very reliable. Over a period of 3 weeks, they had problems with upload a number of times (3 or 4 days when it was impossible - no reason given, no date provided for when service would be available again). The site was offline for a couple of days. Too bad - seemed interesting initially.
